What is the Student Add-on Membership?

• The Student Add-On Membership gives current Hatch Clayworks class students 24/7 studio access outside of scheduled class time. It is available only while you are actively enrolled in a Hatch class and is billed weekly.

Members Are Responsible For:

• Checking and knowing the current Studio Rules.

• Leaving the studio slightly cleaner than when you arrived

Membership Includes:

• 24/7 studio access with your own door code

• Use of studio equipment for techniques covered in your class. If we haven’t done it together yet, please don’t do it on your own without checking with an instructor first. This includes using the slab roller and extruder. 

• Clay and glaze access while your class session is actively running

• Bisque firing of class work

• Storage in your designated class shelf area

Clay Between Class Sessions:

If you sign up for the next class, during gaps between class sessions (such as the weeks between a class ending and the next one beginning), your studio access continues, but clay is not included.

During this time you may:

• Use free reclaim clay available in the studio, or

• Purchase your own clay from the studio at the standard rate

What's Not Included?

• A personal shelf — your work is stored in the class area only

• Unlimited clay between class sessions

Additional Charges:

• Key deposit ($50, refunded when key is returned)

• Clay or supplies purchased from the studio

• Damage to kiln shelves or another member’s work caused by your work

Billing & Cancellation:

• This membership is billed and renews weekly.

• You may start or stop this membership at any time.

• This membership automatically ends on the last day of your current class enrollment. If you register for a new class, you may continue your student membership.

• You are responsible for keeping your payment information current.

• To cancel, log in to Kilnfire or provide written notice at least one day before your next billing date.

Personal Risk:

• I agree not to hold Hatch Clayworks financially liable for any injury incurred on the premises.

Pickup of Work:

• If I do not pick up my finished pieces within 30 days, they become the property of Hatch Clayworks and may be moved to the Rehoming shelf, claimed by others, or eventually recycled or discarded to make room for new work.

Studio Rules:

• All studio rules and the Hatch Membership Pledge apply to Student Add-On members. These can be found at www.hatchclayworks.com/pledge. I understand that studio rules may change and agree to follow any updated versions.

Membership Termination by Hatch Clayworks:

Hatch Clayworks may terminate this membership at any time. Reasons include:

• Repeatedly breaking studio rules or violating the Member Pledge

• Disrespect toward staff, members, their work, or privacy

• Being under the influence of alcohol or drugs in the studio

• Touching electric kilns without staff permission

• Failing to pay balances on time

• Bringing guests, children, or pets without permission
