Each membership is unique, but in general, they include the following (note exceptions):

1. 24/7 studio access with $50 registration fee (sans Firing Membership)

2. Use of 13 pottery wheels, 6 hand-building tables, 12 glazes, a variety of underglazes and stains, slab roller, and basic tools

3. All Bisque firing (first kiln firing)

4. Access to a supportive community of makers

5. Studio lounge and high-speed fiber internet

6. Studio Orientation and clear guidelines to help you get started

7. Self-serve purchasing of clay ($25/25 pounds)

8. Glaze firing ($10/square foot)

The following will not be included in membership

1. Clay (this must be purchased through the studio or from an approved supplier)

2. Glaze firings (charged $10/square foot of kiln space)

3. Personal instruction or ongoing guidance (for that, check out our classes & workshops!)

4. Studio Access for Firing Members. (You can drop off work, but do not have access to the equipment or workspace)

5. Storage beyond what's specified in your membership tier

6. Outside clay or non-commercial glazes (for the safety of our equipment please use the clay and glazes provided by Hatch and ask before making any exceptions)

You'll express your interest in the form provided on our 'Membership' page and if there are membership spaces available, coordinate a time to receive a studio tour with the studio owner.

If there are currently no membership spaces available, you'll be automatically added to our waitlist, and the studio owner will reach out once space becomes available.

After the studio tour, you'll read and sign our 'Membership Agreement', pay a registration fee to get added to our system and receive your personal key-code for access!

If you already know how to use a wheel or hand-build, glaze and clean up safely and independently, maybe! If not, we recommend starting with a class or workshop. Still not sure? No worries, reach to info@hatchclayworks.com and we can help determine if you're ready to become a member.
